Ghost Writing & Editing: Books, Articles, Other
I did copywriting and proofreading for Curve Magazine, the best-selling lesbian magazine in the world, both print and online. I also regularly assigned and edited articles for curvemag.com, as well as my publication, The Human Experience.
I do PR within the creative queer community: orchestrating articles, interviews and reviews across various publications.
I did developmental editing for the novel Flowers In Their Hair, proofread the non-fiction book The Friendship Effect and I did substantive edits to the non-fiction book Self-Love Diet: The Only Diet That Works.
I edit newsletters, e-guides, blog posts, website copy and undergraduate and graduate essays for students from the University of California San Diego, the Santa Rosa Junior College, Sonoma State University, DeVry University, California State University Stanislaus, the University of Phoenix and Portland University, largely in the fields of Communications, Psychology, Business, Environmental Planning and Social Work.
I also ghost write content for blogs relating to business, the environment, nutrition, sociology, self-love and body acceptance, as well as SEO articles.
I wrote and edited for my college newspaper, The Sundial, for 3 years. I was the Editor-in-Chief my senior year. It was student-run and offered as a class. I not only managed a staff and a newspaper, but I also led the class.
I minored in Creative Writing, studying short fiction, poetry, screenwriting and playwriting, and I also wrote, filmed and edited a rough cut of a 40-minute documentary exploring the transition of my college into a coed institution and how it would impact our traditions as a woman’s college.
In my senior year of high school, I wrote, directed and produced a play/variety show that I put on locally, and I donated the profits to Una Vida, a non-profit that does great work in the Dominican Republic.
I appreciated your content feedback, your personal responsiveness, as well as your expertise with regard to things like “show instead of tell.” It wouldn’t have happened without you. Thank you so much for all of your help.
Emelina has an eye for flow, sequence and the bigger picture, as well as attention to detail while editing my manuscript. Her suggestions are always on target. Her attention to detail, clarity of thought and passion for self-love made this book much better than it would have been without her expertise. Thank you.
You did a great job on the article! I like your writing style as well as how you organize the material.

Emelina has an incredible attention to detail, making her ideal for any editing or proofreading position. I found her to be incredibly efficient, self-motivated and more than willing to tackle any task, no matter how big or how small. She is my go to person for anything I needed done efficiently and well and has become my most trusted assistant and as such has been given tasks normally assigned to senior level staff including editing and proofreading features and online content on curvemag.com.
Emelina worked directly below me and I always found her very responsive, enthusiastic and able to work without a great deal of direction. I would highly recommend her for future work at an organization that could utilize her skills.
